Japanese History & Thesis Practice

Click here to access a PowerPoint that has the acronym for remembering the early periods of Japanese History (think about it... HKAT). Honestly, if this doesn't help you remember this stuff, I don't know what will. This might be the scariest thing I've ever created.

Also, I'll have printouts of the sample thesis statements at school on Monday. Don't forget that there is a final short DBQ Monday afternoon available for anyone who still feels like they need the review.

Chapter 14 Guided Reading Help

A little help please...

Because I know that the past and upcoming weeks for you have been a bit hectic, I'm going to take care of items 17 - 33 of your chapter 14 guided reading. In other words, you don't have to write identifications for these terms (however, you can if you want). I'm going to create a PowerPoint this weekend of all the important individuals of the Renaissance and print it out for you this next week (I'll post it up here also). Enjoy your weekend! Social and Cultural Changes

Mongol Study Session

During the Tuesday seminar this week (November 10th), I will be giving a one hour presentation on the Mongols to review the information we worked on in class last week. If you're planning on attending, please leave a comment below.

P.S. I'm doing this because I just graded the "Exploring Mongol Eurasia" packets and I have some concerns as to some of your comprehension with the material.

Chapter 13 Guided Reading

Unit 2 Test & Study Session Information

The unit 2 test will be on Monday, November 23rd (multiple-choice) and Tuesday, November 24th (essay - dbq). The test will include information found in chapter 8 - 14. The dates the test will cover are: 600 CE - 1450 CE. Study sessions will be at the following times:

Tuesday, November 17th: 7:45am - 8:15am

Wednesday, November 18th: 7:45am - 8:15am

Thursday, Novmber 19th: 3:45pm - 4:30pm

Friday, November 20th: 7:45am - 8:15am

Saturday, November 21st: 9:00am - 12:00pm (in E202)

Magnificent Cities Project

Our next major project will be an examination of specific cities that held importance from the time period 600 - 1450 C.E. The project will be due for all groups and classes on Monday, November 16th. We will review the project in class this week and I will show you some examples of projects from last year. This will be our last major project this semester.
