Remember that there will be a quiz over chapter 22 (the Industrial Revolution) when we return from the long weekend on Tuesday, February 16th (7th period will take the quiz on Wednesday, February 17th).
random comment: did you know that one of the American inventors (i've forgotten which one since i learned this in middle school... >_>) who is credited with inventing one of the main textile machines we learn about had visited Britain and, even though copying or taking details of textile machinery out of Britain was prohibited, this man spent weeks studying the makeup and instructions for a preexisting British machine and then returned to America and worked from memory to build and improve the British invention. so basically one of the machines that was "invented" in America that made this guy famous for being a genius inventor was truly an improved upon British machine! xP hehe i had forgotten that story until today... my us history teacher in 7th grade told us about it!
Actually I'm wrong. It's next Tuesday that all periods have class (as opposed to the block schedule). The chapter 22 quiz will be this Wednesday for 7th period.
Mr.Benschine, will those of us who missed the block day be required to take it, or will we be able to make it up later?
