Rise of Islam Homework

Use pages 201 and 202 in your textbook to trace the lineage of the caliphate from Abu Bakr to the three divisions of Islam (use page 197 to clarify information regarding the Shi’ites & Sunnis).

First, create a rough draft of the information as you read through your book.

Second, use a clean sheet of white paper to present your information in a organized & understandable manner.
–Make sure to clarify familial relationships & conflicts
–Ex. Timelines, family trees, spider diagrams, flowcharts, etc.

We will work on this assignment for the rest of the period. It will be discussed and collected at the beginning of class tomorrow.

    Wait... 7th period starts on this tomorrow in class, or are we supposed to do it tonight and turn it in tomorrow?

    The assignment is only due after it's been assigned in class. Also, you do not need to bring it to class if you don't have class that day.
